hiatus (family affair)
hello werld. wow, i think this is the longest i've been away from the ol' blog. it's been a trip, experiencing new ways to feel the "holiday spirit", spending time with some old loved ones as well as partying down with some new.
went as all out on gifts as i ever have, but it was well worth it to see that i'm a good gifter. got some pretty sic things in return as well..same old drama with the familia, but it just goes to show that not always is blood thicker than water. sometimes, it's like ketchup, watered down. made me reminisce for last year in Viet Nam though..but i will do my best to stay in touch and learn how to write in viet, new year's reso once again..
got to be part of a "santa making" and that was the illest. it was nice to be around kids who still believe, and who are creative little monkeys who handcrafted me the sweetest things. christmas day was spent placating the babies with candy, browsing the black planet, and missing the sandwich making. went to a dinner party though, and that was entertaining, mutually flirting my face off with a vegetable lover, an unlikely endive to be found attractive by moi...must be weak or something. i think the vulnerability is kicking in, oh well, it's just a marker of mortality after all.
speaking of..my ol' dj friend called me up on the christ-mas, i think for the last word, whatever. i connected with an ol' country boyfriend too, and japanaphile superthug hit me up on the email today, so i guess it's the season of the ex. i had a sighting of my bus crush again, and we spoke a few words to eachother...it was on the 15 (not 6 like jlo) but that was that until the next. have a homie of a homie coming in from the sea-town pretty soon, and i'm a bit curious...but spec warns me of the americans....not that i can't handle myself, though..well, i'm glad to ring in the new year with a bum bear, crazy bread, a couple of dvds and mc...keeping it mellow since the retail satanists have decided to be open tomorrow...and i can say i'm refreshed and ready to tackle this here year..prospero ano y'all..hopefully i'll be hearing from ya.LOVE.all4now.
