hangin' off hastings

so, "kinoo", my day off, i rise early, as per usual, and i do some interior re-design, shifting to allow for a sleeping place for my love-her...and i get the surpise dingle on the celly from my favorite kimchinut. she's back in town and wants to claim the hoody of her lover that narrowly escaped being tossed in the free box because it was left in place of my stolen president's choice self-tanner. bastards. but we make a plan for mongolian bbq after i'm the only person in the pool, making waves making waves...and we meander up main once again, armed with her new jewlery, a new batch, check out her work at www.janicewudesigns.com textile jewlerry is HAWT...especially one of a kind hand mades, and neckerchiefs at that, brilliantly designed for the delicate of nape as well as the gold's frequenters. we head downtown because the j-dub hasn't been to the downtown beautiful library, and we go to t&t for asian delights, asian delites that we are, and wander about tinseltown, pretending to be half sisters shopping for a sectional for their parents in the abundant furniture store that has the monopoly on that place. we also went into the leather store, where we tried on the fall samples (that were awesome) but had trouble keeping a straight face with the lagerfield-esque designer of the leather..."my designs, so gorgeous! so high end! the kind you only find in the vogue magazine..so magnificent"...complete with the sunglasses worn inside, all she needed was a little lacy fan, bitch...don't mess!

next we relaxed in the park, watched some love & basketball, and were circled by this dirty man who was eyeing my white pumps a little too covetously...we got outta there pretty quick, and went back to t&t where the egg tarts were finally on sale. we made plans to meet her boy and the uncle (dawson) for vietnamese on denman.

disappointed that they didn't serve "sinh to", but had a decent meal nonetheless, stopped off for dq, then got a ride home in the monstrous truck...don't know the name, but it's some gas guzzling body the same size as an escalade...i had to slide off the seats to get to the ground outside my apartment. happy with my purchase of this fun '60s frock (they always seem to fit me just perfectly) from the front, and my chrysanthemum tea, i called it an evening.

woke up to the overcastedness (finally! yesterday was soo humid!) i hustled my butt to the gym, then back home to listen to the new lyrics born album, (sigh) i'm in love with hip hop again..."i can't wait for your love-limited time offer" is the shit...but it...hear it..download it..i'm not hear to judge. i bet the dvd isn't crap either, like common's 'bonus' with kanye eating soup. bigups to the mosaik for sending that to me from lalaland. u gotta 'lose' cds more often man. i miss u.

i almost got out of my apartment, when i ran into the baby-sitting charges..they're getting tall for 4 and 2. i love how they always light up and get so excited, screaming my name for blocks and getting out of the stroller to show off. there's nothing like love from the childrens.

i made it to gastown with sqirrelly directions from the translink (and i talked to a person, not "chris") but i was on time for my voice recording session. basically, it was to train the machinery into voice recognition for mp3 players in the car. i got all hooked up with the headset and a button pusher not unlike those that jeopardy! contestants get to clutch (i imagine) and we got going. i did some recording while the car was stationary (reading off the dvd screen on the dash), then while the car was moving in city traffic, and highway traffic. i got to say various commands and artists, and i had to smile at a couple..."seb's list", "kanye west", "guns and roses use your illusion 1" but it was a quick $50 towards my debt elimination this month.

i wandered about gastown for a little bit, and strolled into complex, newly moved over from the victoria. had a nice visit with jay jay, got on the myspace and made plans to blow up the club on thursday...") but congrats to those guys for making it big time coming over to this side, i remember when the store was on the opposite side of johnson next to the lotus pond. who says small business can't be successful? and a hip hop store in victoria? bigups boys, bigups.

i also stopped by dressew, which is another wonderland for me, so many buttons and zippers and thread! got a couple to fix up some jeans and couldn't help being elated in that atmosphere of creation.

now i'm just gonna check out some fabulous materials for my edumacation in music from the library and update my myspace blog. next up, phat meal and heading back to gastown to make my foray into cfro. wish me luck. all4now.
