it's not you, it's me.
PLEASE do not take the following as me just not being that into you, but i think that the time has come to end this blog. like a relationship that's been done, but folks just get lazy in making it official, i've contributed less and less, spreading my attentions/affections in other directions, and rather than just letting this fade into cyberspace oblivion, i am giving you the sendoff you deserve.
dear anastesia, you have been amazing. you have seen me through so much. you provided the jump off to me getting my feet wet in my journey back (that i never left from) to writing and gave me the confidence that i needed to be reminded that i had. you were the only thing i had going when i went to rice and you were still my foot in the door. look at us now? i'm doing cover issues, roped in the hottest features, and they can't get rid of me. as a matter of fact, i was accused of writing half the fall issue. the website is not any less me-centric (www.ricepaperonline.com) and now i'm out here in montreal trying to take it even further.
you were my first indication that people were reading me, as i would get notes in my email about how folks kept up with me here or knew exactly what i was doing even though we had long moved out of the same area codes and i didn't know because they didn't comment. who knows how many folks glance by something that i've written lately, and i have you to thank for opening my eyes to the possibility.
know that you are not "dead" but you have just evolved into www.trueurbanlegends.blog.com and i have found areas to shift the original idea of that into other forums. know that you will enjoy a "dvd release" if you will and a whole new selection of new readers when you are incorporated into the upcoming web-version of my "empire".
know that you can always find me at: www.myspace.com/lovethatapple and there's a blog there too that can be read concurrently with this one, as i signed up for both at the same time (thanks Mizthang)
because of that myspace, i'm now a resident at www.shotgunreviews.com as an interviewer in the lyrical lounge.
know that montreal is my newest oyster and i'm making small waves at www.lefthip.com
and the time has come for this series finale, though i have been blessed with my spinoffs all being more successful than the original, i will always love you, dolly parton not whitney houston style.
all my dearest readers, please visit me at any of the above shameless plugs, and i hope to see you soon! i have to turn off the 'sexyback', even though it's not only a hot club song, but a good one to churn out internet related work to.
I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!
www.trueurbanlegend.com just in case you don't want to scroll up.
adieu, cheri.
