lady don't take no..

hello werld, it's been awhile, and i probably won't be able to capture all the events that i've wanted to blog about for the past week, but here is the gist:

work has been pretty fun, with the cut down hours and thus less responsibility, making room to make management actually do the grunt work, and i'm going to be up for a review soon, so i'll probably get a raise, gotta do my taxes soon and get that cash! more tourists, more uses for the craft sets, more working with Gerri, more weekly World News!

the music school has been good too, officially going to bust my ass to do my exam in May/June, sending away the check and the application, just gotta get around the fact that i break out in hives whenever i'm at the studio..

wrestling scotty dogs and lounging on the bar with Scurvy and Mosaik the nite of the 20th for the treat of seeing Lateef the Truthspeaker (my new hero) show up Gift of Gab, who, much respects due, is an amazing lyricist, he just doesn't have as much stage prescence...but the show was tight, politically charged and wondrous, with the opening Mike Relm DJ/film show extraordinaire, bringing us back to Snoopy days and ODB/Digital Underground, and doing it all with no headphones, y'all..no headphones. i lost it and almost fell off the bar screaming along when they did that song, you know the one about me...something happens to me when i feel music folks, i just go to another place..get all flushed and excited and shit...

next highlight would be the moving of the Jerrifest on the road, up the mountain of Whistler. we roamed about the village, i bought paperdolls and a $5 goat, and we cozied up in leather chairs around a fireplace in a hotel lobby with my portable dvd player and watched Jerri Blank until there was no juice left.

last nite, i resumed my boxing class, got my facial done by Mizthang, and am now addicted to Origins' products, and met my man for the viewing of Diary of a Mad Black Woman, which had its moments, but ended up being born again Christian propaganda....grrr...i hate when that happens, i feel pretty duped, but I guess we should have known by looking at the poster and seeing Shemar Moore starring in the cheesiest cornrows ever. oh well, you live, you learn.all4now.

1 - So, not a word on the 24hr SebFest Extravaganza eh?

I‘m seriously contemplating boycotting these diaries, but devoting a blog or two entirely to me may change my mind!
