because you never know, just when you least expect it, someone who's just been "mean" to you (coding for elementary school "liking", where they do everything short of pull your hair to get your attention) might decide to blackmail you into taking them for coffee, and it might escalate into a hangout time turned fortnight of retreating from the ordinary, having meals cooked for you, unexpected bouts with honey and oils, magic pants, horizontal modern dance, polar bear scents, "crepes", supersized pocky, cinnamon sticks, lots and lots of comedy, serious political discussions about race with someone who FINALLY gets it and is on the same page, batman t-shirts, kittycats with thumbs, ju-jubes, having your face petroleum jellied on random corners of Montreal back roads, jodeci appreciation, soul for real videos, cuddles and smooches, lots of cuddles and smooches.
and you never know what fascinating individual could come your way, one that matches you in energy and admirable contributions to the artistic world and society at large, someone who excites you, someone you can learn from, someone who is open to learning from you and taken aback by your razor sharp wit and might actually be out-crazied by you.
(sigh) i'm privy to what's beneath the smirk, y'all, and methinks me likey.....
